i am a thirty-eight-year-old wife/mother/teacher who lives in the lovely neighborhood of st. elmo (http://www.st-elmo.org/). i live with my husband, our four-year-old daughter, three dogs (dan, marge, and grady), two cats (ruby and she), and two guinea pigs (oreo and susannah). we love our home, but we are in a constant state of home renovation chaos. we’ve been working on b’s room lately (she’s hellbent for bunkbeds). We are looking forward to a plot in the st.elmo community garden next spring.
besides hanging out together at home, our family enjoys spending time with our delightful family and friends. we’re lucky that most of both our families live fairly close to us, so we’re able to see them pretty regularly. j and i are both from scots-irish stock that values family ties, along with four-note singings and dinner on the ground. our social circle is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. most of our friends have been our brave companions for many, many years. we’ve made a fine art out of playing, singing, eating, and drinking together. one of the most delightful aspects of our running crew is that a lot of us have children now, and they are growing up & forming their own little social network. i love that molly has a bunch of playmates who are like brothers & sisters to her–it takes the pressure off us to have another one!
i teach english to eighth graders. your thoughts & prayers are appreciated.
my husband is an english instructor at a local technical college. i’ll bet his students love him. i mean, he’s totally precious.
our daughter is livin’ la vida pre-k. she is an absolute delight.
i decided to start this blog because i’m just too lazy to keep up with myspace, and i’ve resolved to keep a journal this year. i figure that even if i don’t maintain my pen and paper version, maybe i’ll at least post some things here every now and then.
Yea! I’m so glad you’re blogging again. I always love your photos… so skillful.
Was Uncle Rob upset that he wasn’t the first to attempt the cutting of Ms. B’s hear?
actually, uncle rob did manage to perform his cosmotological duties (photos to follow) before molly started chopping, so it wasn’t as tragic as it could have been!
“Would love to see you and your little girl. Matt and Christy (Connelly) have four boys and Ethan and Christy(White) have a little girl, Kate (3 yrs.) and a baby boy. I was pleased to see your brother, Matthew at the aquarium this past summer. Tell your mom “hello”. Jim and his family are all from St.Elmo and his aunt and uncle still live at 4102 St. Elmo Ave. It’s a beautiful area.
Homecoming is October 9 against South Pittsburg. I hope you can come.
